Eyes Open Heart – Poem

When I saw through my eyes
All I saw was disguised
My head resounded denies
until I heard my heart’s cries

When I saw through my heart
I saw clearly and smart
I paused to restart
and gaze upon the love art

What had been all along
I thought I knew, but was wrong
Until I listened to the song
That my heart sang so strong

My eyes and heart free
Open now and full of glee

The past cannot revise
how long I stared with my old eyes

Had I known from the start
I would have searched with my heart

Caving In (Poem)

My anger is
red around the
edges

It grows outward, a
raw mess with a
beat of its own

My heart is
spiked and secure,
a shiny light
encased in leather

My eyes are
foolish
and my mind is
unreliable

My hands are
phantoms, feeling
for hope

My lips already forgot

Most of me has
surrendured but

my soul

…… still

…………waits

A Love Poem

It’s the way that you look

When you’re looking at me

It’s the way that you feel

When you’re feeling for me

It’s all of your ways

And the ways that may be;

You’ve made an impression on me.

It’s the way that you move

When you’re moving around

It’s the way your lips form

When your lips form a sound.

It’s all of your ways

And the ways that may be;

You’ve made an impression on me.

It’s the way your brows frown

When you’re found deep in thought

It’s the way your eyes shine

When you find you’ve been caught

It’s all of your ways

And the ways that may be

You’ve made an impression on me.
